Description

The Yorkton Public Library is looking for a university, college student, or high school graduate to coordinate the children's summer program in Yorkton, SK. This individual will be working to engage children and families in daily activities as part of the annual summer programming of the library.

Under the direction of the Children's Programmer, the successful candidate will:
*Implement and facilitate fun, educational activities for children.
*Work with library staff to develop, deliver, and promote the summer program.
*Maintain program statistics and conduct evaluations.

Qualifications:
*Relevant education and/or work experience in library services, education or a related field with an emphasis on working with children is an asset.
*Program planning experience is an asset.
*Good communication skills, written and verbal.
*Excellent organizational and time management skills.
*Ability to work independently, and in a team environment.
*Experience with social media platforms and use of digital tools is preferred.
