SaskAbilities is a leading non-profit, charitable organization with locations throughout the province of Saskatchewan. We are looking for an adaptable, articulate and highly-motivated professional who can lead our Special Needs Equipment Program, motivating others to achieve.
Reporting to the Director of Rehabilitation Services and based in Saskatoon, the Special Needs Equipment Manager is a member of the SaskAbilities management team and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the provincial Special Needs Equipment Program.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will plan, direct and monitor all Special Needs Equipment operations to respond to provincial client equipment needs while following established objectives and contract requirements from the Saskatchewan Aids to Independent Living (SAIL) Program. The candidate will be responsible for preparing annual operating plans, submitting budgets and performing monthly monitoring to meet annual financial targets. The incumbent will also be responsible for hiring, supervising and developing direct reports in a department of thirty staff across the province. Communication with health care professionals and clients regarding complex case files, product specifications, program policies and wait lists is also a significant component of the role.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A relevant undergraduate degree (a combination of education and experience will be considered).
- A valid drivers licence.
- Five years related experience in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in a health care environment.
- Proven leadership, communication, managerial and budget management skills.
- Strong public speaking, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
