Description

Job Overview:
Cozy Nest Care Home in Saskatoon is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, resident-centered care within a long-term care environment. This position requires availability for night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
-Provide direct nursing care to residents, ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety at all times
-Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for side effects or adverse reactions
-Assist in pain management and contribute to individualized care planning
-Perform routine and ongoing resident assessments and report changes in condition promptly
-Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation of all resident care and interactions
-Collaborate with physicians, RNs, healthcare aides, and other team members to ensure continuity of care
-Support infection prevention and control practices while maintaining a clean and safe environment
-Promote residents physical, emotional, and social well-being

Qualifications/Requirements:
-Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
-Knowledge of senior care and pain management practices is an asset
-Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
-Compassionate, resident-focused approach with a commitment to quality care
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs
