Description

Moose Jaw Family Services is seeking a compassionate and organized Youth and Parenting Program (YPP) Coordinator to lead programming that supports youth and young parents through education, outreach, and life skills development. This position is 30 hours per week and includes responsibilities related to food hamper coordination and facilitation of the Community Kitchen Program.

Position Overview
The YPP Coordinator oversees the Youth and Parenting Programs and contributes to related MJFS initiatives. The role involves direct participant support, program coordination, outreach, partnership development, administrative responsibilities, and supporting food security for youth and families through coordinated food programs.

Responsibilities
Coordinate and deliver youth parenting, life skills, and support programming
Conduct outreach, manage waitlists, and connect participants with services and referrals
Assist with grant applications, reporting, statistics, and program compliance
Support MJFS fundraising efforts, community outreach, and special events
Coordinate food hampers, including sourcing, organizing, and distribution
Plan, and Facilitate Community Kitchen sessions    
Recruit and coordinate volunteers, including childcare and program support
Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development

Skills & Competencies
Strong ability to engage and facilitate support groups with teens and young adults
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Valid drivers licence

Education & Experience
Post-secondary education in social work, edcuation or a related field
Equivalent education and experience combinations may be considered
