Housing Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Flying Dust First Nation is seeking a dedicated and experienced Housing Manager to lead and oversee the communitys housing program. Reporting to the Chief of Operations, this role is central to developing and implementing a long-term, sustainable housing strategy in collaboration with the Housing Authority, community leadership, and membership. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by improving housing services, supporting community growth, and ensuring quality living standards for members.

Key Responsibilities:
    Managing rental agreements, collections, and move-in/move-out inspections for CMHC and Band housing
    Ensuring compliance and reporting to funding agencies such as ISC
    Preparing and presenting reports to funding agencies, Housing Authority, Chief and Council, and community meetings
    Maintaining accurate housing data and database systems
    Overseeing new housing construction projects from planning to final inspection
    Coordinating ongoing maintenance and preventive care programs
    Managing daily operations, including renovations, work orders, and housing crews
    Developing and managing annual budgets and reviewing financial statements
    Preparing tenders, contracts, and procurement processes
    Supervising contractors and ensuring quality standards
    Collaborating on a five-year capital and infrastructure plan
    Supporting recruitment, training, and supervision of housing staff
    Assisting in policy development and ensuring compliance
    Creating employment opportunities through housing initiatives
    Supporting members in exploring new housing options
Qualifications & Skills:
    Grade 12 Diploma along with post-secondary education or equivalent work experience
    Strong knowledge of construction and project management
