Saskatoon Public Schools is the largest school division in Saskatchewan, serving nearly 29,000 students with the support of more than 3,300 dedicated professional and support staff. Our division includes 48 elementary schools and 10 secondary schools, including a flexible learning program for artists and athletes and a unique partnership school Charles Red Hawk Elementary School located on Whitecap Dakota Nation.

Saskatoon Public Schools is seeking Educational Assistants to support students with intensive needs in achieving their maximum potential and independence.

Responsibilities include:
Supporting students to meet goals identified in Individualized Program Plans (IPPs)
Assisting with personal care needs such as feeding, hygiene, mobility, toileting and transportation
Supporting medical and health-related needs according to established care plans
Promoting positive behavior, social interaction, and communication skills
Ensuring student safety during instructional and non-instructional times
Implementing behavior strategies and collecting observational data to support planning

Qualifications:
Post-secondary education or experience in special education or a related field is an asset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to meet physical demands of the role
Training in PART, lifting, First Aid/CPR and AED is an asset

What to Expect:
Full-time hours: 30 per week
Casual positions offer flexible scheduling
