Albert and Parliament Primary Health Care Centre is seeking a Temporary Full-Time Registered Nurse to join a collaborative primary care team. Reporting to the Lead Physician, the RN provides patient-centred care including assessments, triage, chronic disease management, preventive services, and clinical interventions. This role is part of a Saskatchewan Innovation Fund initiative and is temporary until March 31, 2027, with potential extension.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct patient assessments, history-taking, and risk identification
Perform triage in-person and by phone based on acuity
Provide clinical care including medication administration, immunizations, wound care, phlebotomy, and specimen collection
Assist with minor procedures and diagnostics within scope
Support chronic disease management (diabetes, hypertension, COPD, asthma)
Deliver preventive care, screening, and health promotion education
Coordinate care and follow-up with interdisciplinary team
Maintain accurate EMR documentation
Follow infection prevention and control standards and apply emergency/public health principles
Collaborate with physician lead on clinical protocols and workflows
Qualifications:
Current CRNS registration and BScN or equivalent
12 years of RN experience required
Current BLS (ACLS asset)
Strong triage, assessment, and acute care skills
EMR proficiency (e.g., Accuro or similar)
Emergency and/or public health experience considered an asset
Strong communication and patient-centred care approach
