Description

The Northeast Regional Housing Authority is located in the community of Creighton, and also serves the surrounding communities of Denare Beach, Pelican Narrows, and Sandy Bay.  We are currently recruiting for a full-time Maintenance Supervisor to join our team immediately. If you have proven problem-solving skills, work well in a team environment while leading others, are a results focused leader with experience in building and property maintenance, we would love to hear from you!

The Position is Responsible to:
- Manage the day to day operations of the maintenance programs
- Provide leadership and supervision for the maintenance workers
- Tender and oversee contracted work to ensure work is completed to standard
- Develop and deliver an effective preventative maintenance program

Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Knowledge of the basic techniques in a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, painting, flooring, and electrical
- Experience in estimating, materials purchasing, accounting and budget preparation
- Ability to promote positive working relationships with management, staff, and tenants
- Experience leading a team, supervising, planning, and coordinating employees and works tasks

Qualifications:
- Grade 12 education, basic computer skills, and some post-secondary in a maintenance and repair environment OR an equivalent combination is required
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to organize and participate in an on call program for emergencies for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage
- A valid drivers license, reliable, roadworthy vehicle, and an approved Enhanced (Vulnerable Sector) criminal record check are conditions of employment
