Full Time Kindergarten Teacher for the 2026-2027 Academic Year  Chief Poundmaker School
Chief Poundmaker School located in Poundmaker Cree Nation, is seeking a positive, energetic Kindergarten Teacher to join their team for the 2026-2027 school year.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated educator for Kindergarten who is committed to supporting young learners in a holistic, culturally responsive environment. Successful candidates will value relationship-building, community engagement, and the importance of integrating Indigenous perspectives and language into everyday teaching practices.
    Prepare course timelines and materials such as syllabi, homework assignments and handouts
    Prepare lesson plans with clear objectives that follow SK curriculum standards
    Use information in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to strategically adapt instructional materials
    Work collaboratively with specialist and homeroom teachers to support the development of integrated lessons and units
Start Date: August 26, 2026

    Present materials in logical manner and in appropriate qualities
    Maintain appropriate standards of behavior, mutual respect, and safety within classroom
    Uphold Poundmakers Code of Conduct, provide appropriate consequences and contact homeroom teachers/parents when required
    Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions
    Incorporate appropriate technology and media in lesson planning
    Formal and informal ongoing assessment of students, including report cards, progress reports and marking
