Overview
We are seeking an experienced Truck and Transport Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of commercial trucks, as well as assist with plant equipment maintenance. This role is essential to ensuring safe and efficient operations and requires a skilled professional with strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Duties

Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related components
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles
Use Biomeds fleet maintenance software to track all repairs and service records
Procure and maintain inventory of parts and tools
Assist with maintenance and repair of plant equipment (wash stations, processing equipment, boilers, forklifts, tractors, etc.)
Respond promptly to work orders for non-functioning machinery or equipment
Perform occasional general maintenance tasks (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC, snow removal)
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
Qualifications

Journeyman Truck and Transport Mechanic certification preferred
Valid Class 5 drivers license (Class 1 or 3 an asset)
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Dependable and detail-oriented
Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Experience with computerized maintenance systems is an asset
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and training.
