Description

As a member of the maintenance department, this position works collaboratively with other members of the maintenance department to ensure the safety, cleanliness, and maintenance of all Regina Housing properties.  

What you'll do:
- Provide timely response to tenant maintenance requests and urgent building issues.
- Diagnose reported problems and identify the appropriate repairs, materials, and equipment required.
Carry out general maintenance duties, including carpentry, plumbing, heating, and common area repairs.
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including the use of required PPE and reporting of hazards.
Maintain professional communication with tenants, contractors, and team members while completing accurate documentation and reports.

What you'll need:
- High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent, with 3-5 years of general maintenance and repair experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of general facility maintenance, including plumbing, carpentry, hand and power tools, and workplace safety procedures.
- Proven ability to assess maintenance issues, problem-solve effectively, and complete repairs in a cost-effective manner.
- Strong communication, time management, organizational, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license, reliable vehicle, steel-toed footwear, and ability to meet Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector search requirements.
