George Gordon First Nation (GGFN) is seeking applications for a Jordans Principle Service Coordinator. Under the direction of the Director Of Operations, the coordinator will provide service coordination and planning in cooperation with other agencies that is directly related to children and families in need.
Qualifications:
University degree or college diploma (two year minimum) in a field related to Human Services, Education or Social Work. Or other combinations of skills , education and experience are relevant and may be considered.
Minimum of one-year direct service experience with children and families.
Experience working with indigenous people, organizations, and communities.
Experience supporting indigenous youth and or community, and understanding of indigenous ways of knowing, Learning, Being, and Doing.
Knowledge and understanding of Jordans Principal.
Excellent Communication with strong interpersonal, conflict resolution and community relations skills.
Ability to identify, source and access community supports and resources.
Knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Mental Health Act, CFS Act, Vulnerable Persons Legislations etc.
Excellent written and oral communication.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites.
Class 5 drivers license and reliable transportation.
CPIC and vulnerable sector check required.
