Description

Muscowpetung Saulteaux Nation is seeking a Director of Health to lead the delivery of health programs and services for the community. This role provides leadership to the Health Department and works closely with the Health Committee, Chief and Council, and external partners to support community health priorities. The Director of Health ensures programs are coordinated, accessible, and responsive to the needs of the community.

What You'll Be Doing
-Leading and overseeing all health programs and services
-Supporting staff and building a strong, respectful team environment
-Managing budgets, funding agreements, and reporting requirements
-Working with leadership and the Health Committee on community health planning
-Building relationships with Health Canada and other partners
-Supporting the development and improvement of health programs and services

We're looking for someone who:
-Leads with respect, fairness, and accountability
-Builds strong relationships within the community and with partners
-Brings a steady and practical approach to leadership
-Understands the importance of culturally respectful care and service
-Can balance program requirements with community needs

Qualifications
-Post secondary education in Health Studies, Social Science, or a related field
-Experience in health or community services
-Leadership experience managing staff and programs
-Experience with budgets, funding, and reporting
-Experience working with First Nations communities is strongly preferred
