The Ministry is hiring Childrens Service Workers in Meadow Lake to deliver protective, preventative and support services using the P.R.I.D.E. and Family Centered Case Management models of practice.
The ideal candidate is relationship-focused, community-minded and committed to working from a place of connection. They demonstrate sound judgment and critical thinking, complete risk assessments, manage complex and sensitive cases, and collaborate effectively with children, caregivers, foster families, First Nation Child and Family Service agencies and community partners. Candidates bring cultural awareness, particularly of First Nations and Mtis perspectives, understand the impacts of poverty and systemic barriers, and actively advocate to promote safety, stability and well-being for children and families.
Key qualifications include a Bachelor of Social Work or Indigenous Social Work, or a related Human Service degree or Social Work Certificate with relevant experience. Required knowledge includes child protection practice, assessment and case planning, permanency planning, documentation standards, collaboration across services and professional ethics. A valid Saskatchewan drivers licence, ability to travel, work flexible hours including evenings or weekends, and transport clients are essential. Responsibilities include casework, permanency planning, placement coordination, service referrals, inter-agency consultation and maintaining professional documentation.
