Description

Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre requires a permanent full-time Director of Student Programming.. The position will be located in Saskatoon and commence on June 1, 2026or a mutually agreed upon date.

Primary Responsibilities
* Provides direct supervision to managers and consultants across assigned areas, ensuring clarity of roles, effective workflow, and alignment to organizational priorities.
* Identifies and addresses gaps, overlaps, and inefficiencies across areas of responsibility.
* Translates direction from the Superintendent into clear operational plans.
* Implements and monitors accountability structures, ensuring data, reporting, and documentation support decision making and transparency.
* Provides regular updates, analysis, and recommendations to the Superintendent.
* When required, contributes to leadership discussions and organizational planning as part of the broader leadership team.
* Builds leadership capacity across Student Programming through mentorship and support.
* Works collaboratively with other departments to ensure alignment across the organization.
* Ensures strategic linkages and supports organizational development efforts within the organization, including change management and transition planning
* Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies and communicate possible outcomes.
* Performs other duties that may be required or assigned by the Superintendent of Student Programming.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
* Excellent knowledge of all facets of program development and review, course development systems and structures, curriculum, instruction, and assessment supports, educational technology including AI, and Indigenous education.
* Well established leadership strengths, including direct supervision, with a focus on building a culture of high performance based on strong values and principles.
