Description

The Little Peoples Learning Lodge is seeking applicants for the Coordinator position. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the facility, ensuring both the nutritional program and childcare services are delivered at the highest standard in a cultural environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, reliability, and a genuine commitment to supporting the growth and development of the children, while also ensuring the staff is motivated and the center remains a safe, nurturing environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
    Leads and Coordinates LPLL Staff
    Ensure delivery of the nutrition program
    Ensure an organized and sanitary work area for facility is maintained
    Develop and deliver appropriate programming to young children
    Provide care and nurturing to all children attending Headstart/LPLL programs
    Implementation and monitoring of safety and emergency procedures
    Knowledge of age and developmentally appropriate play experiences for children  
    Ensures the LPLL provides an accessible, nurturing, culturally sensitive care and education program for young children, consistent with the philosophy and guidelines stated in our policy
Qualifications:
    Experience in managing a team of child care workers successfully
    Experience in running a daycare operation.
    Ability to track, monitor, and work within budgets.
    Ability to build and maintain strategic relationships within the nation and surrounding community
    Ability to work in a leadership role with staff & students
    Able to set a high standard of work for self and employees
    Knowledge and respect of local First Nations communities and culture
    Ability to maintain professionalism and interact professionally with staff, parents and visitors at all times
    Ability to effectively use computer programs such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and social media.
    Valid First Aid Certification and CPR Certificate
    ECE Level 3
