a. Provide leadership to camp participants
b. Assist in ensuring all Mossbank Day Camp participants travel to and from excursions safely. Head counts/roll call before and after each activity;
c. Responsible for ensuring a quality experience in a safe and fun environment for all participants;
d. Responsible for assisting in the implementation and delivery of all scheduled program activities;
e. Responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of all meals/snacks for day camp participants, as well as the supervision of all participants during meals;
f. Ensure children have the appropriate attire for the activities for the day (sunscreen, hat, sweater, shoes, etc.);
g. Administer first-aid when required (or call emergency services if accident is severe). Fill out incident report form and mark down what was used out of the first-aid kit for all instances that require first-aid/emergency services;
h. Assist in maintaining adequate inventory of all camp related supplies/equipment (i.e. sporting equipment, food, etc.);
i. Assist in actively gathering feedback from participants and their parents, advising the Assistant Administrator of the situation when necessary (i.e. needing help with a solution, passing on an idea that would better the program);
j. Maintain the cleanliness of all amenities used by Day Camp participants, including, but not limited to, the rink, kitchen, park, library, and any excursion building/amenity. As well as assisting in the daily clean-up/sanitation when participants leave at 4pm;
k. Maintain the Town of Mossbanks image/reputation through model behaviour (no foul language or innuendos); and
l. Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Administrator.
