Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a clean driving record, strong navigation skills, and a 5 license. The Delivery Driver plays a crucial role in maintaining the flow of our supply chain and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
Verify delivery orders and ensure accuracy of shipments before departure.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or delays.
Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during deliveries.
Assist with warehouse duties such as freight handling or inventory management when required.
Skills
Experience with forklift operation, is an asset but not required.
Good knowledge of Saskatchewan roads, routes, and navigation tools.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
Good communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
Physical ability to lift heavy packages (up to 40lbs) and perform manual tasks related to freight handling.
Prior experience in commercial driving or logistics is advantageous but not required. This position offers an opportunity to be a vital part of our logistics operations while developing valuable skills in transportation and freight handling within a professional environment.
