Description

Flying Dust First Nation is currently seeking a motivated and professional individual to join our Administration Division as a Front Desk Receptionist. This position plays a key role in providing reception and clerical support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the Administration office. The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for delivering welcoming, efficient, and confidential front-line service. Duties include greeting and directing visitors, managing incoming calls and correspondence, coordinating appointments and meeting spaces, and administering Flying Dust cheques as required.
Duties:
Respond to telephone, email, and in-person inquiries from clients, partners, and community members
Direct inquiries to appropriate staff, departments, or divisions
Record and distribute telephone, email, and written messages accurately
Receive, process, and distribute incoming correspondence and over-the-counter documents
Present a positive, professional image as the first point of contact for visitors, suppliers, and stakeholders
Implement emergency evacuation procedures when required
Accept and monitor incoming deliveries and shipments
Maintain staff itineraries and remain informed of staff movements within and outside the office
Provide backup support to the Files Clerk/Office Admin Support Manager as needed, including use of MS Office programs
Assist with organizing and supporting special events
Work effectively under pressure, demonstrating sound judgment, flexibility, and reliability
Always maintain strict confidentiality

Qualifications:
Grade 12 Diploma and/or a certificate or diploma in clerical or office administration
Knowledge and understanding of First Nation culture and values
Strong understanding of general office procedures
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Professional presentation and exceptional customer service skills
Strong organizational and planning abilities
Superior telephone etiquette
