Description

Reports To: Director of Operations. Carry the Kettle Nakoda Nation is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Education to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Nakoda Oyade Education Centre (NOEC).
This role is responsible for advancing educational excellence through effective program delivery, culturally grounded leadership, and strong governance. The Director will ensure that all educational services align with legislative requirements, organizational policies, and the Nations values and priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide overall leadership, direction, and management of NOEC operations
Lead the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of education programs and services
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, provincial, and First Nation education standards and legislation
Oversee curriculum development, instructional quality, and student outcomes, Support capacity development initiatives, including structural readiness requirements
Foster a positive, culturally responsive learning environment grounded in Nakoda values
Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, education partners, and stakeholders
Ensure accurate reporting and documentation to relevant authorities
Qualifications
Master of Education, Educational Administration or a related field.
Valid Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certificate
Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in education, including school-based leadership
Experience working in First Nation or Indigenous education environment
