The Community Services & Outreach Supervisor provides leadership, coordination, and oversight of SHAs community-based programs, partnerships, outreach initiatives, and service delivery supports that enhance tenant stability and housing sustainability. The role ensures SHA maintains strong, effective relationships with community agencies and aligns services with SHC strategy and emerging community needs.
Scope of Work:
-Provide overall leadership and authority for community services and outreach operations.
-Supervise Community Outreach Workers and Programs Coordinators, including performance management and staff development.
-Develop and maintain partnerships with community agencies, service providers, government bodies, and aligned organizations.
-Act as SHAs primary liaison and represent SHA at community tables, HUBs, and interagency forums.
-Serve as primary contact for escalated SHC, ministerial, and family inquiries.
-Support and implement communitybased housing programs in collaboration with SHC.
-Coordinate nontenant relations services that support housing stability.
-Identify emerging community needs, service gaps, and tenant vulnerabilities.
-Ensure appropriate external supports are in place to promote safe housing environments.
-Monitor housing and social service trends impacting vulnerable populations.
-Ensure program alignment with SHC priorities, SHA strategy, and provincial frameworks.
-Colead the Tenant Relations Committee with the Tenant Relations Manager.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Completion of a Diploma or Degree in Social Sciences, Human Services, Community Development, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
-A minimum of three (3) to six (6) years of experience in community services, social services, housing supports, outreach, or a related human services environment.
