Description

With direction from Willow Cree Health Services (WCHS), the incumbent will support and adhere to the Mission/Vision of the organization to provide Community Health services to Beardys & Okemasis Cree Nation (BOCN). The Community Health department is seeking a Casual Registered Nurse. The RN is responsible for providing, participating and delivery of a high standard of community health in accordance with Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA) scope of practice.
The RN provides services for community band members in the area of vaccination(s), STBBI testing & treatment, maternal child health, TB treatment and Harm reduction.  The services provided are client and family focused, including one-on-one teaching, treatment and rehabilitation to prevent deterioration.
The RN is part of the Community Health team and is responsible for liaising between patients, families, and health care providers.  The RN works to ensure patients and families understand their conditions and treatment and to ensure the clients receive appropriate care. The scope of the responsibilities of this position is to be a holistic approach to health and that health care is delivered on an individual basis or as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The RN is a support role and will report to the Community Health Coordinator/Director of Health.
