Assistant City Clerk is responsible for providing leadership in establishing and maintaining consistent practices to ensure the Corporation adheres to its legislative responsibilities, particularly with respect to analysis of legislation, bylaws, policies, and procedure.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Degree in Public Administration.
OR
Equivalent discipline combined with 5 years progressively responsible municipal government experience.
OR
Certificate in Local Government Administration, plus at least 5 years progressively responsible municipal government experience; OR
10 years progressive municipal government experience
* Thorough knowledge of The Cities Act, The Planning and Development Act, 2007, The Local Government Elections Act, 2015 and The Local Authority Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
* Demonstrated proficiency in procedure, parliamentary rules, and the Procedure Bylaw.
* An expectation to complete the Information Access and Protection of Privacy (IAPP) Certificate Program in 18 months of hire.
* Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
* Ability to work within tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
