Description

At Truly Alive Youth and Family Foundation Inc (TAYFFI), we are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our dynamic team for the
position of Employment Readiness Coordinator.

The Employment Readiness Coordinator will be responsible for supporting unemployed and/or under-employed Black individuals, particularly those who new to Canadian workforce through coaching, workshops, and individualized employment action planning.

Specifically, the incumbent will assist Black individuals facing multi-dimensional barriers to employment in critical aspect of employability and job-readiness upskills, including resume writing, interview techniques, and soft skills, while facilitating job placements, tracking participant progress, and connecting clients with employers.

Integral to the duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate for this position is the ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary partners, industry experts, employer communities, and professional regulatory bodies to promote employment equity and intentional workplace equity across industries. The incumbent must be an astute public speaker with an up-to-date knowledge on employment barriers faced by Black individuals, possessing proven ability on developing sustainable strategies to mitigate emerging trends and service gaps towards ensuring no one is left behind in achieving positive socioeconomic outcomes and quality of life.
