RESPONSIBILITIES
To provide information, assistance and service to customers in a manner which will promote the sales of merchandise and meet the requirements and expectations of the customer.
To provide product requirement estimates and take-offs from blueprints for customers building projects and to actively and aggressively sell merchandise from such estimates.
Maintenance of computer estimating program.
To co-ordinate and order special order inventory from project sales.
To assist at the sales counter or other areas of department as needed.
To ensure self-development is planned for and initiative is taken to improve knowledge, skills or attitude.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Previous building materials and estimating experience required. Must be willing to take Estimator training. Requires good computer skills. Must have good public relation skills, pleasant personality and desirable personal traits.
