The Senior City Planner provides expert leadership on complex planning studies, policy development and development review with a strong focus on neighbourhood planning and policy renewal. Reporting to a Branch Manager, this role applies sound judgement and strategic thinking to guide projects of high public interest while building strong relationships with elected officials, the development community and residents.
What You Bring
- Advanced knowledge of urban planning theory, policy and neighbourhood planning practice
- Proven ability to lead complex projects and mentor professional staff
- Strong judgement and communication skills in complex and sensitive planning matters
- Experience interpreting bylaws, policies and data to develop clear recommendations
