Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our dynamic team for the position of Career Skills Development Coordinator.
The Career Skills Development Coordinator will be responsible for supporting unemployed and/or under-employed Black individuals, particularly those who new to Canadian workforce identify career goals, gain employability skills, and secure jobs.
Integral to the duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate for this position is the ability to provide comprehensive services and information resources that enable program participants to take active responsibility for their work plan, career decision and job search; equipping program participants for making career plans by facilitating awareness of their work related strengths, interests, and values and understanding the world of work; preparing participants for finding suitable employment by enhancing their job search skills and capacity to express the relevance of strengths to employers; and fostering relationships with the employer community to provide program participants with opportunities to develop professional skills, integrate academic learning from work, and find jobs.
Employment Classification: Term Contract, Immediately May 2026 to March 2027 (with possibility of extension)
Work Hours/Schedule: 150hrs/month; Monday Friday; 9:00am 5:00pm (flexible arrangements as per clients needs and employers business)
