Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Deck Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in residential or commercial deck construction and is comfortable working with a variety of materials and tools. You will be responsible for building, repairing, and installing decks according to project specifications while maintaining high-quality workmanship and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
Construct decks, railings, stairs, and related structures from wood, composite, or other materials
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project plans
Measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately
Install footings, framing, decking boards, and finishing components
Operate power tools and construction equipment safely
Ensure all work meets local building codes and company quality standards
Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively on job sites
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Perform repairs, maintenance, and upgrades on existing decks

Requirements
Previous experience in deck building, carpentry, or general construction
Strong knowledge of construction methods, tools, and materials
Ability to read and interpret plans and measurements accurately
Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions
Valid drivers license (preferred)
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with composite decking and aluminum/steel railing systems
Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
First Aid or safety certifications

Work Conditions
Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
Physically demanding (lifting, bending, climbing)
Travel to job sites may be required
