The Recreation Support Worker will assist the Cultural and Recreation Coordinator in child and youth initiatives. The individual must have knowledge about community sports, rules and regulations, and is required to par-take in the programing evets with the youth.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO)
Assisting in coordinating and facilitating various family activities.
Providing safety and observation of all activities. Never laving the youth unsupervised.
As a role model for the youth, it is extremely imperative to ensure the youth are directed to the services the Health Centre of any learned difficulties that the youth may be experiencing and reporting to your supervisor, as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of Sports, Rules and Regulations.
Ability to maintain a calm and composed demeanor to handle any incidents that may arise.
Experience working with kids/youth, whether as a volunteer or employment.
CPR/First Aid Training ? training will be provided.

As a condition of employment:
Three (3) year driver abstract;
Minimum of class 5 Driver?s License of three years experience driving, and successfully added to the MFN SGI Package Policy;
Clear/Current Criminal Record Check and vulnerable Sector Check.
