Description

Eagle's Nest Youth Ranch is a not-for-profit, charitable organization; we provide 24 hour quality care, counseling and therapeutic social and educational programs to youth with social and emotional challenges.We work collaboratively with youth, families, and community groups to facilitate individual growth and social change that will improve the lives of youth and families in our communities. Youth are provided with a home environment where caring adults provide routines and limits, nurturing and understanding, and teach values and skills required for successful living.

The Houseparent is responsible for maintaining a healthy meal plan by cooking and baking, a clean home, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for residents.
Responsibilities:
To develop and coordinate a healthy, balanced meal plan in accordance with the Canada Food Guide.  
To prepare and cook the meals for residents on a daily basis, including weekend meals.  
To follow Safe Food Handling procedures when preparing and cooking meals.
To maintain a clean and orderly home through consistent and efficient housekeeping.  
To be responsible for the grocery shopping while balancing a monthly grocery and household supply budget.
Other responsibilities and tasks as required.

Qualifications: Previous experience preparing meals for a group of 10-20 people, Safe Food Handling certificate, Criminal Record Check, and a valid class 5 drivers license are required. In addition, we will need a minimum of three professional work references.
