The Evermore Centre provides programs and services to support children and families who are formed by adoption, kinship care, Person of Sufficient Interest (PSI) arrangements, legal guardianship, anywhere where the children are no longer with their biological parents.
At Evermore, we recognize the profound impact of losing connection to birth families, which can mean a loss of culture, identity and spirituality. In addition to our adoption and permanency services, we educate families and communities about cultural significance as we all work together towards reconciliation.
The Indigenous Community Engagement Coordinator plays a vital role in strengthening relationships between Evermore and Indigenous communities, organizations, children, and families.
This role focuses on promoting cultural identity, belonging, and connection through meaningful community engagement, culturally informed programming, educational opportunities, and direct family support. The Coordinator ensures Indigenous ways of knowing are reflected across programming while also supporting families navigating adoption, permanency, and cultural planning.
