Description

Job Summary:
Upholding the values and mission of Cosmopolitan Industries Ltd., the Supported Work Coordinator is responsible for
leading, supervising and supporting staff and program participants with an intellectual disability in the operations of our
center-based work and vocational initiatives. They assist the manager in sourcing work and providing customer support
ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. The role of the Supported Work Coordinator is vital in ensuring that
a wealth of meaningful vocational opportunities is available to program participants.
1. Oversee and ensure orderly operations and production processes.
2. Assess work initiatives and resources needed.
3. Create work schedules and determine work deadlines for the team.
4. Ensure company and work procedures are taught and followed.
5. Organize equipment, supplies, repairs and routine maintenance.
6. Determine quality control standards.
7. Prepare safe work procedures and task analysis and ensure their implementation.
8. Seek and secure work opportunities.
9. Prepare job price quotations, customer billing and necessary production and budgetary reports.
10. Promote and develop positive working relationships with all staff and program participants ensuring all feel
supported and appreciated.
11. Recruit, orientate, supervise and evaluate the performance of employees.
12. Provide work area specific training.
13. Collaborate with program coordinators and participant support workers to achieve company and participant
goals.
14. Participate in and oversee the day to day support of participants.
15. Ensure the maintenance of both program participant and employee records.
16. Ensure compliance with safety standards.
17. Communicate any relevant company information and updates to staff and program participants.
18. Coordinate and account for funds allocated to the assigned area.
19. Cross-train for other duties/positions as deemed necessary.
