Description

Invest Tisdale is a board operating under the Rural Municipality of Tisdale No. 427 and the Town of Tisdale. We are looking for a qualified Economic Development Officer (EDO) preferably with credible experience. As the EDO you will need to work collaboratively with both municipalities to attract investment, support local businesses, and encourage development opportunities. In this role you will be responsible for being the primary point of contact when developing and executing strategies and investment opportunities. The EDO will also be responsible for cultivating and maintaining positive relationships with established business owners, government agencies, and industry stakeholders as well as promoting Tisdales business sector to surrounding areas.
Additional responsibilities are as follows:
    Possessing good business acumen including good negotiation and facilitation skills.
    Responding to enquiries from members of the business community and general public concerning development opportunities
    Reviewing and evaluating commercial or industrial development proposals and provide advice on procedures and requirements for government approval
    Developing social and economic profiles of urban and rural areas to encourage industrial and commercial investment and development.
    Prepare reports and regular updates to present to the board as well as both councils
