Description

The National Doukhobor Heritage Village (NDHV) is a National and Provincial Historical Site designated by Parks Canada and the Province of Saskatchewan. Our season runs from May 15 to September 15, 7 days a week, from 10 AM to 6 PM.

The Heritage Interpreters at the National Doukhobor Heritage Village in Veregin, Saskatchewan, plays a vital role in bringing the history and traditions of the Doukhobor community to life, both in-person and digitally. The ideal candidate would have enthusiasm for history, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and interest in working in a cultural heritage/museum environment.

The Heritage Interpreter will assist in the following:
Welcoming guests to the site, leading guided tours of the historic buildings and exhibits, and sharing engaging stories about Doukhobor history.
Assisting in special events, cultural programs, and educational activities designed for school/youth groups and tourists.
Assisting with daily site operations such as setting up new museum exhibits, maintain cleanliness in public areas, and collaborating on social media posts.
Cataloguing, documenting, and safely handling museum artifacts according to the Museums Association of Saskatchewan (MAS) Standards and Guidelines.
Overseeing front office duties including sales, registration, managing inventory, and administrative duties as required.
Other duties as identified.

This full-time 4-month position, located in Veregin, commences May 11, 2026, and will be compensated at $17.00 per hour. The start and end dates are flexible! Part-time work until the end of the school year will be considered.

The employees normal hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for a 37.5 hour work week. Flex-time hours may be considered.
