C4 Equipment Mechanic Shop is seeking a Service Writer to manage the technical flow of information between customers, technicians and the business office. The role is responsible for accurate work order creation, service documentation, quoting, invoicing and coordinating parts and inventory to support efficient shop operations. If you are detail driven, mechanically minded and enjoy working with customers, C4 is a fit for you.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Be the first point of contact for customers in person, by phone and by email
- Gather repair details, open work orders and communicate clearly with customers and technicians
- Prepare accurate quotes, update customers on progress and finalize invoices and payments
- Coordinate parts ordering, receiving and inventory management
- Track work order status, ensure documentation is complete and support smooth workflow in the shop
- Maintain a clean, organized front counter and contribute to a positive, professional shop environment
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced shop environment
- Experience with invoicing, quoting or service writing (asset but not required)
- Basic mechanical understanding
- Computer and payment system skills
- Reliability, accuracy and a team-first mindset
