The Maintenance Person will work with the Saskatoon SPCAs team to ensure building preventative maintenance checks are complete and grounds are maintained to high quality standards while caring for the animals entrusted to us.
Education, Experience, Skills
Student or graduate in a relevant discipline
Able to work 35 hours a week from the end of May to end of July (8 weeks)
Full time schedule will include 1 weekend day to maintain grounds
Able to work evenings and weekends as needed
Able to do physical labour as needed
Experience working with animals is an asset
Must have valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle

This summer contract position will suit a flexible, mechanically inclined person with strong communications and creative skills. The duties are varied.
Yard Maintenance
Operation and upkeep of power equipment push mower, gas weed trimmer, etc.
Flower bed maintenance
Touch up painting as needed
Water plants, vegetation and shrubbery
Removal of waste from outdoor garbage cans
Keeping parking lot and walkways clear and free of litter
Miscellaneous repairs and general maintenance
Adoptions
Assist Adoption Reps with cleaning and feeding animals on a daily basis or when needed
Assist Adoption Reps with laundry as needed
Rotate food products and cat litter between food storage and Sea-cans
Ensure all inside equipment is maintained
