About the Role

The Community Engagement & Communications Summer Student supports storytelling, youth engagement, and inclusive programming across Saskatchewan. This role offers hands-on experience in communications, events, and community engagement while contributing to meaningful projects.

Key Responsibilities
Community Engagement & Youth Leadership
Support a Youth-Led Inclusion Committee
Assist youth with a fundraising initiative (e.g., Giving Tuesday)
Help deliver ICAN workshops, family sessions, and Siblings Camp
Events & Program Support
Assist with planning and delivering events and engagement activities
Support Strategy Day and related initiatives

Communications & Storytelling
Create social media content, photos, and short videos
Assist with video editing and storytelling
Contribute to newsletters using plain language

Fund Development Support
Support Inclusion Breakfast coordination
Help develop outreach and fundraising materials
Administrative Support
Maintain digital records and donor database
Assist with meetings and general admin tasks

Supervision & Mentorship
Regular check-ins, guidance, and feedback from leadership.
