Description

Program:      Adolescent Group Home
Hours:          110 hours per 4-week period;            
Term Dates:     As soon as possible

SIGN is seeking a motivated, empathetic, and youth centered individual, to work with the Program Manager, Case Management Supervisor and other staff in fulfilling the overall objectives of the home. The position will assist in the development and implementation quality programming that will enhance the personal, educational, emotional, and social development of the youth living in the home.  

Expectations:
    Work Monday to Friday, 5:30pm to 11pm
    Overall case management for one or more youth;
    Compliance to case plans for each resident observing special considerations and instructions;
    Assess, evaluate, plan, and revise youth care/support as directed by the AGH Program Manager or AGH Case Management Supervisor;
    Demonstrate cooperation among other staff members in order to ensure efficiency of care and support for youth;
    Protect the health and safety of others by adopting safe work practices;
    Collaborate and communicate with coworkers and youth to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate youth care;
    Help to ensure that the nutritional and health requirements of all residents are met;
    Plan, teach and participate in social and recreation opportunities for youth residents;
    Efficiently completing required paperwork in written format and with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications and experience:
    The energy and aptitude to support youth while working well with a team;
    Experience working with youth and/ or in a residential setting would be ideal;
    Post-secondary education and/ or training relevant to the position would be an asset;
    A recent (6 months or less), clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check;
    Valid drivers license.
