Role Description: UR Pride is seeking to add a communciations director to our team. The comms director will work alongside our programming coordinator and our executive director to raise awareness of UR Pride and programs and services with targeted ads, social media presence and website design. We will also be developing a strategic plan to improve UR Prides presence and reputation on campus and in the city of Regina. This is a permanent part-time position.
Qualifications:
Background in graphic design, communications, marketing or similaror similar
Intimate understanding of issues facing 2SLGBTQIA+
Intimate knowledge of Squarespace, Instagram, Facebook, Canva
Intimate knowledge of Bluesky, TikTok
Familiarity with principles of SEO
Excellent written communication skills
Ability to work in a team or on ones own, without the aid of AI
Familiarity with current tech issues, including AI
Lived experience as 2SLGBTQIA+ will be considered an asset
Lived experience as BIPOC and/or Indigi-queer will be considered an asset
Lived experience with a disability will be considered an asset
Current, lived experience as a student of the University of Regina will be considered an asset
Hours and Rate:
This is a permanent part-time position at 15 hours/wk. Compensation will be made at a rate of $25/hr. or $19,500.
