Join Regina's newest luxury retirement residence as a Maintenance Aide. Reporting to the Executive Director and ultimately the Manager, this position is responsible for providing a safe, and sanitary environment in accordance with organization standards, policies, and procedures and health and safety standards. The Maintenance aide assists in the maintenance and repair programs involving building and grounds. Assists with maintenance and repair activities with functions of other departments.  Maintains and inspects equipment and systems regularly used in performing duties.  Performs duties such as scrubbing and buffing, storage and utility areas, outside windows, changing screens, changing and washing filters in heating units, changing light bulbs and ceiling fixtures and housekeeping duties in very high places, removing and disposing of garbage and trash.  Assists with maintenance needs in resident rooms, room refurbish and painting.  Record keeping for water and air temperatures. Aides in receiving supplies delivered to the facility and in placing these supplies in the proper storage areas.  This includes the receiving of all maintenance items, housekeeping, nursing supplies and so on. Must of knowledge of pool operations and hold a valid pool license. Adheres to Infection Control policies.  Shampooing carpets and using other floor cleaning equipment to clean floors. Assist in the general cleanliness of building. Other duties as assigned. Must be available to work week day shifts, evenings, nights & weekends.
