Description

The Pest Control Technician provides pest inspection & remediation services for a variety of pests at Regina Housing Properties.

What You'll Do:
Inspect buildings and outside areas to detect signs of infestation.
Determine type of treatment required and provide recommendations on the course of action.
Advise clients on how to prepare for treatment and to prevent future infestations; assist with unit preparations as necessary.
Prepare and spray chemical mixture on infested areas to kill insects, rodents, and other pests
Place and set traps to capture and remove animals
Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines, best practices, and Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
Work Conditions:
Indoor and Outdoor work, including enclosed spaces.
Frequent use of hand tools.
Climbing 1-2 flights of stairs at a time.
Frequent lifting and/or carrying of up to 30lbs; infrequent lifting of 50+lbs, occasional lifting of 100+lbs with assistance.
What Youll Need:
A valid Saskatchewan Pesticide Applicator Structural License and 1-2 years experience in pest control or a related field.
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
Commitment to confidentiality and a respect for diversity.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Good judgment and critical thinking skills.
Ability to self-motivate, problem solve, and work efficiently under tight timelines.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, twist, and kneel as necessary.
Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers License.
Reliable vehicle to be used for work purposes.
Steel-toed chemical resistant boots. Other PPE may be required as necessary.
