The Role
Reporting to the supervisor, site services, the successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and effective operation of batch plant and waste management equipment, along with a variety of mobile equipment to maintain site infrastructure, roads, and airstrip.

In this role, you will:
-Operate concrete batch plant and waste management equipment.
-Operate mobile equipment, including loaders, sand trucks, buses, skid steer, and vac trucks.
-Practice safe work habits and comply with company safety policies, including completing daily operator care rounds; ensure proper machine startup, operation, and shutdown procedures; and assist with preventative maintenance when appropriate.
-Perform manual labour as required, including regular lifting of materials and luggage.

Required:  
-grade 12 or equivalent;
-at least five (5) years of relevant work experience;
-equivalent combination of education and work experience considered;
-valid Class 2 drivers license;
-experience with dozer, 872 grader, 644 & 744 loaders, track hoe, and 35-ton rock truck;
-safety-oriented team player with excellent communication and organizational skills;
-mechanically inclined with knowledge of equipment and hand tools;
-able to clearly communicate with team members when needed;
-willingness to perform manual labour as required;
-must be proficient with using computers, including Microsoft Office/365; and
-work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.

Recommended:
-valid Class 1A drivers license;
-bagging station & labour work;
-previous lead hand or supervisory experience;
-ACI (American Concrete Institute) Certification; and
-previous experience with SAP.
