Description

Collaborate on strategic planning, budgeting & organizational priorities
Support organizational change initiatives & continuous improvement
Ensure alignment of operations with the organizations mission, values & strategic goals
Oversee all accounting & financial functions, include budgeting, forecasting & reporting
Ensure accuracy, integrity & compliance of financial records & reporting
Prepare financial statements & reports
Manage cash flow, banking relationships & financial controls
Coordinate audits & ensure compliance with regulatory & funder requirements
Lead & support HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance management & employee relations
Develop & maintain HR policies, procedures & systems
Manage payroll, benefits administration & personnel records
Support labour relations & work effectively within a unionized environment
Oversee administrative systems, IT coordination & database management
Develop & implement policies & procedures to improve operational efficiency
Support funding proposals & reporting requirements in collaboration with leadership
Oversee social enterprise initiatives, including EFAP contracts

CPA designation
5yrs of direct experience in accounting/related field
3-5yrs experience in a leadership/managerial position
Experience working in the non-profit/charitable sector is considered an asset

Strong leadership, collaboration & interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
Strategic thinking with strong problem-solving abilities
High level of integrity, confidentiality & attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft, accounting software & database systems
Ability to manage competing priorities
Experience working in a unionized setting is considered an asset
