Description

Qualifications:
Recognized post-secondary Certificate, Diploma or degree, other related training or experience in a related area would be considered an asset
Demonstrated experience in leading an interdisciplinary team
Valid Driver's License
Highly organized and analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving techniques
Knowledge of all applicable Saskatchewan bus and motor vehicle codes, requirements and regulations
Proficient in use of Microsoft applications and route management/reporting software.

Primary Duties:
System administrator responsible for the upkeep, security and reliability of the Bus Planner application including user access, data confidentiality, integrity and availability.
Assist schools in maintaining data in Transportation Routing software.
Maintain records of mileage, length of use, destination of vehicles, etc. for billing purposes.
Monitor the scheduling of vehicles for regular maintenance checks.
Plan, direct, monitor and evaluate the operation of the school division transportation department. Including, routing, student assignment, repair and maintenance and inventory.
Develop, implement and monitor a proactive and comprehensive transportation safety program.
Maintain SGI compliant maintenance records and files for mini-bus and school bus fleet.
Ensure fleet vehicles are properly licensed and insured.
Ability to travel throughout the division and province
