Join the Department of Pediatrics as a private Medical Office Assistant for the Division of Social Pediatrics at St.Mary's Clinic, assisting with the delivery of health care to the children of Saskatchewan. The Division of Social Pediatrics operates out of school-based clinics and prioritizes creating a safe and culturally respectful space for our team and our patients and families.
Typical Duties or Accountabilities: Such duties as may be required by the Employer, and as are assigned to the Employee by the Employer from time to time including but not limited to: use of existing electronic medical record systems (MedAccess/SCM), managing patient files and patient information, booking and confirming patient appointments, preparing daily clinics, providing reception services through telephone and email, maintenance of physicians calendars, coordinating patient care, coordinating medical learner attendance at clinics, ordering office supplies and other clerical duties as assigned.
Skills:
-Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal;
-Demonstrate effective organization and time management skills;
-Proven ability to work on multiple projects with competing demands to meet deadlines;
-Ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
-Proficient with Microsoft Office, transcription and thorough knowledge and understanding of medical terminology;
-Working knowledge / experience with MedAccess EMR platform, eHR Viewer is preferred.
