Location: Central Office, Sub-Office or Assigned Location within Division boundaries
Qualifications:
Valid Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certificate (or eligibility).
SGI Driver Education Instructor certification (or willingness & ability to obtain).
Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers Licence
Demonstrated experience delivering Driver Education programs.
Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting educators is an asset.
Strong understanding of provincial policies, SGI requirements, and best practices in Driver Education.
Extensive travel throughout the division and the province
Ability to travel northern roads under a variety of adverse conditions
Willingness to overnight in various communities, for extended timeframes as required
The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
Provide division-wide leadership and support for the Driver Education program.
Support consistent implementation of SGI-approved Driver Education programs across schools.
Deliver in-class and in-car driver education instruction, including in rural and northern communities.
Train, mentor, and coach Driver Education teachers on instructional best practices and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with consultants, school administrators, and external partners such as SGI.
Promote safe, culturally responsive driving education aligned with TRC Calls to Action.
Contribute to program planning, evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
