Description

Work Location: This role is eligible for hybrid work. This means youll have the flexibility of working from home and in the officeon a scheduled rotation.

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a background in building construction and repair? Do you enjoy collaborating to resolve complex property claims?

As a Claims Construction Specialist, youll inspect properties, assess damage, and develop accurate repair scopes and estimates. Youll support adjusters on complex losses, provide expert guidance, and ensure work aligns with building codes and industry standardsall within a collaborative, high-performing team environment.

- Bring strong knowledge of building construction, inspections, and repair methods, with experience developing estimates and scopes of work for property claims.
- Thrive in a collaborative, professional environment and enjoy working closely with adjusters, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Have the ability to analyze damage, interpret building codes and bylaws, and provide clear, practical recommendations.
- Want to leverage your leadership skills for good  like actively supporting SGIs culture, expanding your own learning and supporting your colleagues as they do the same.

Typically, these skills are gained through a two-year diploma in a relevant field of study such as Architectural Technologies, Building Science Technology, or Engineering Technology, and 6  8 years of job-related experience in building construction, inspection, or estimating. The successful candidate will also be required to have a valid driver's licence.
