Newsask Community Futures Development Corporation is a member of a nation-wide network of CFDC institutions that focus on local community economic development and provide business loans to small and medium sized enterprises.
CFDC Newsask is currently seeking a motivated, relationship-focussed professional to join our team as a Business Development Officer. CFDC Newsask values building strong client relationships and providing exceptional service and support to businesses and communities in Northeast Saskatchewan.
We seek candidates who value professionalism, teamwork and customer service, while growing our lending programs and business support services. Primary responsibilities will include managing relationships directly with Newsask clients, with a focus on business development and lending, developing and growing our loan portfolio, and providing strong customer service, advice, and business guidance to our clients.
This position will also have responsibilities for financial reporting and supporting additional administrative functions, including balancing and reconciling loan funds, and supporting internal accounting and record management functions.
The successful candidate will:
Demonstrate strong communication and relationship building skills
Demonstrate a client-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Possess strong financial literacy skills and an understanding of financial statements
Demonstrate the ability to work independently while contributing positively our team
Demonstrate a combination of related education and experience in business, including lending, banking, accounting, finance, providing business advisory services, or other related industries.
