Description

The B&A/Camp Coordinator is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and daily operation of an unlicensed childcare program serving children ages 612. This role ensures a safe, engaging, and well-structured environment before & after school, PD days, school breaks, and summer camps.

The Coordinator leads all aspects of programming, staff support, and day-to-day operations while fostering a positive, inclusive, and active environment for children.

Program Planning & Delivery
Plan and implement engaging programming for children ages 612
Develop structured daily schedules balancing active play, creative activities, homework support, and free choice
Create themed programming for PD days, holidays, and seasonal camps
Design and lead full-day summer camp programming
Adapt programming to meet a range of ages, interests, and abilities

Child Supervision & Safety
Provide active, attentive supervision at all times
Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all children
Follow best practices for health, safety, and emergency procedures
Administer basic first aid when required

Provide guidance and support to program staff
Help delegate daily tasks and maintain team accountability
Model positive interactions and behavior management strategies
Assist with onboarding and mentoring new staff
Use positive behavior guidance techniques to support children
Address conflicts and challenges in a calm, respectful, and consistent manner
Maintain daily attendance, incident reports, and program records
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding childrens participation and any concerns
Manage program supplies, organization, and cleanliness of the space
Assist with registrations, scheduling, and general program coordination

MUST have PR or CAD Citizenship
MUST currently live within 60 km of Sedley Sk
