South East Cornerstone Public School Division is looking for a Manager of Finance & Payroll for its Weyburn, SK division office location. Reporting to the CFO, the Manager of Finance & Payroll is responsible to plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operation of financial, payroll, and accounting departments. The manager also develops and implements the financial policies and systems of the school division.
Required Education, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:
A professional accounting designation (CPA).
Minimum seven (7) years direct experience as an accounting professional, with at least five (5) years progressive experience at Senior Level.
Strong knowledge of current accounting standards and practices.
Proven track record of success in staff management with at least three (3) years of direct supervisory experience.
Experience with all relevant legislation and regulations governing payroll and accounting in a public sector or educational institution.
Knowledge of automated accounting and payroll software applications and systems.
Knowledge of the Education industry including any related accounting and reporting requirements is an asset.
